Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial artist who is fighting for UFC. UFC in the Flyweight Division, is in Kyrgyzstani. Valentina is her younger sister, and also a UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko first began fighting sports by becoming a Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals by unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko won an additional medal in the year 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold medal in 2011 and then was named the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in the year 2016. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016, and also the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won the fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko broke her first professional MMA record in 2002 during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took the fight by TKO after round 2 and the subsequent 2 matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was forced to take a break from MMA and devoted her time to boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a unanimous vote after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her impressive striking ability in the final clinch through knees to the body. Antonina took an UFC invitation following her win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi on an undisputed split decision. Antonina recovered from her defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night reward during the bout. Shevchenko was 1-2 over her subsequent three bouts. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina has recently been lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
